The bow of our boat

Beautiful morning on the Peace River. If the boat looks tilted, that's because it's partially mired in mud from the river going down.

Looking downstream from our first camping spot

Setting up the canvas tent at the first camp site.

Raising the sail for the first time! Doesn't it look great!

The boat awaiting her crew and cargo at the Dunvegan boat launch.

At the launch event at The Maples, the two Teresas -- Theresa Maggs from GeoTourism Canada and Teresa Griffith from Flow North Paddling Company -- share a laugh while Andre gets some food (in the foreground).

The evening before our trip starts, we launched the boat at the Dunvegan boat launch, across the river from the provincial park and The Maples, a lovely day-use area.

After the Lac Cardinal lake test, we dried the boat out and added more sealant. The helpful man at Camp Artaban, Val, brought these tents over in case of rain.

On Lac Cardinal for the second lake test, after we added more sealant. So far so good!
